Elizabeth MacNicol, a painter from Scotland, was born in Glasgow on July 17, 1869. Her journey as an artist started at the Glasgow School of Art, where she studied from 1887 to 1892. Later, she went to Paris to learn more at the Academie Colarossi.
After coming back to Scotland, MacNicol set up her own art studio on St Vincent Street and became part of the Glasgow Boys group.
