Let’s talk about Clodoaldo Martins, a talented artist from a small town called Agulha in São Paulo, Brazil. You know, he discovered his love for painting when he was just nine years old. Quite young, right?
With encouragement from his parents, Clodoaldo began taking drawing lessons from a teacher named Luis Dotto when he was thirteen. These lessons took place in a nearby town called Catanduva, where many talented young artists gathered.
As a teenager, Clodoaldo expanded his skills and started learning how to paint. He had lessons with two artists, Sérgio Amorim and Celso Bayo. In 2003, he met Washington Magueta, who helped him get even better at painting.
After that, he got valuable advice from Alexandre Fausto, who learned from a famous artist named Arlindo Casttelani de Carli. From 2005 onwards, Clodoaldo got guidance from Luís Cláudio Morgilli, who introduced him to two important artists, Gilberto Geraldo and Ronaldo Boner.
Now, what’s really interesting is that Clodoaldo’s art style evolved as he learned from Boner’s study groups and Geraldo’s workshops. He was able to bring new ideas and looks to his artwork.
And guess what? Clodoaldo didn’t stop there. He went to college at Faculdade São Luís in Jaboticabal, São Paulo, and got a degree in Arts. This gave him a deep understanding of art.
Today, his art is inspired by both classic and modern artists from the Alla Prima school. This mix of influences keeps making his art better and better.
